Pyrmont Festival of Wine, Food and Art: 17 to 26 May 2013

The Pyrmont Festival of Wine, Food and Art is fast approaching, so get out your calendar and mark the dates: 17 to 26 May, 10 days celebrating Mudgee wine and food with more than 25 special events in Pyrmont's restaurants, art galleries and attractions, including 18 and 19 May in Pirrama Park with winemakers, food and the Pyrmont Art Prize.

Free outdoor events: Two days in Pirrama Park

Pirrama Park is now a weekend event, TWO DAYS - Sat 18 & Sun 19 May, 11am to 5pm each day. There will be more than 150 Mudgee Region wines to taste, and regional products and food and the opportunity to meet the winemakers.

Festival media launch at The Star 30 April

The Festival launched 30 April at Bistro 80 at The Star. More than 200 fanciers of wine, food and art attended, and Lord Mayor Clover Moore spoke about the the attractions of the Pyrmont Ultimo peninsula and the growth of the Festival, noting how every year the launch audience grows.

Music in the Sails

Sydney Heritage Fleet, a Pyrmont Chamber (PUCC) member and not for profit org, will stage a classical music concert featuring the peninsula's maritime history in the foyer of Wharf 17 with Huntington Estate Wines. Gold coin donation.

Theatre is a class act for Pyrmont troupe

The City of Sydney's support for grassroots culture has helped a fledgling Pyrmont theatre group grow into a star act. The Pyrmont Players, which began in January, has grown to more than 20 members and is on the lookout for more actors, set designers, costume makers and stage managers to join their troupe.
