Lawrence Gibbons
Lawrence has served as the President of the Pyrmont Ultimo Chamber of Commerce since 2007. Lawrence plays an integral part in ensuring the Chamber runs effectively and the business community is represented through the Chamber on local matters. He also ensures the Chamber maintains ties with local government and the City of Sydney. Lawrence is the Managing Director of the Alternative Media Group, publishers of The City News, The City Hub, The Bondi View and The Inner West Independent. He founded The City Hub in 1995, acquired The City News (formerly The Pyrmont Ultimo News) in 2002, The Bondi View in 2005 and The Inner West Independent in 2009. He served as a publishing consultant to the Honolulu Weekly and to Canada’s largest weekly newspaper, Now Magazine, in Toronto. He was the publisher of the Fairfield and Westchester County Weekly in suburban New York and the Advertising Director of the San Francisco Bay Guardian, one of the largest independent weekly newspapers in the US.

Sherryl Ryan
Sherryl Ryan is the CEO of Culture at Work a not-for-profit organisation in Pyrmont. Culture at Work links art and science and learning through artist residencies with scientists that generate ideas/workshops/exhibitions/art & science talks for families, teens and adults. Sherryl is an artist and post grad research student at Sydney University.

Rob McCourt
Rob McCourt has been a lawyer for 35 years and is the principal of McCourts Solicitors, based in Jacksons Landing on the waterfront in Pyrmont. The firm specialises in conveyancing, small business law, estate planning and administration, employer/employee rights, trusts and superannuation deeds and commercial or general litigation. Rob prefers the common sense no-nonsense approach to the law with practical effective advice for individual clients and small businesses. He is supported by a tight knit professional team of three solicitors and three support staff. Rob has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce since moving his business to Pyrmont in 2002 and has been Secretary since 2008. McCourts Solicitors provides the Chamber with advice on various matters when required.
Meet the Non-Executive Committee Members
Margaret M McCue
Margaret McCue LLM (NSW) is the principal of McCue & Associates, a commercial and general law firm situated in Macquarie Street Sydney. She practises in general commercial and business law, property sales and purchases, commercial and retail leasing, relationship and family law, wills and probate, as well as local court criminal matters. Margaret holds appointments as an arbitrator in the District and Local Court jurisdictions, and has an interest in alternate dispute resolution, having trained as a mediator with the Australian Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators (IAMA). More recently, she participated in the 2008 Summer School held in Salzburg, Austria, conducted by the Central European School of Conflict Resolution. Margaret has an appointment as a sessional mediator with a statutory body. The firm participates in a pro bono scheme at the Downing Centre Sydney. Margaret brings to PUCC her experience as a board member of a private school and secretary of a non-profit organisation dealing with emergency accommodation placements.
