Television, radio, film production and multimedia organisations rub shoulders with artists, financiers and furniture showrooms. Visit any of the many atmospheric cafes and restaurants and you get a sense of the creative energy that epitomises this area. Then there's the entertainment offered by The Star, Darling Harbour, the Maritime and Powerhouse Museums.
A very different picture from the Pyrmont Ultimo of 1997, when a group of local businessmen founded our Chamber. An area whose proud industrial past had become redundant and the population greatly diminished. Our founding members saw Pyrmont Ultimo reinventing itself, becoming today's media and creative hub of Sydney with a burgeoning population coming to live and work in the new residential and commercial developments.
The Chamber is a not-for-profit organisation. Whilst maintaining its independence, it partners with local government and other organisations, as it sees fit, in pursuing improvements in the overall quality of life for the Pyrmont Ultimo businesses and community .
Our members range from large to small businesses and individuals who want to improve their own businesses and who recognize that by working together through the Chamber they can help build a prosperous, healthy community for businesses and residents. PUCC can collectively achieve what no one can do individually.
The monthly networking functions and social events give opportunities to meet people and promote business, services and products.
