After running art workshops at the Pyrmont Scott Street Studios for 5 years, local creative hub Culture at Work (CAW) has amassed a treasure trove of art supplies. And in keeping with Christmas spirit, they decided to give it all away.

On November 18th 2014, about 20 businesses and organisations from Ultimo and Pyrmont gathered for the first multi-stakeholder roundtable of Smart Locale. The initiative aims to help foster a smarter, brighter, better local economy by focusing on practical and sustainable solutions for energy, water, waste, transport, the built environment and public open space.

The last day of November became the first day of Christmas in Pyrmont this year, as Santa arrived early for the annual Christmas in Pyrmont festival.

When Sydney celebrates New Year's Eve, the whole world watches. More than 1.6 million people flock to the harbour foreshore each year, to marvel at the fireworks and soak up the festive atmosphere.

With the influx of visitors, finding a comfortable vantage point proves to be a perennial dilemma. But this year, clever revelers will be heading to Pirrama Park for NYE 2014 Pyrmont Wharf

It's Christmas time again, so come all ye faithful for Carols In Pyrmont.

Local community choir Pyrmont Sing will fill Union Square in Pyrmont with Christmas spirit from 6:30pm on Friday 19th December.

Guests will be invited to sing along to all of the classic Christmas carol favourites. And for extra entertainment, the children of Pyrmont will don historical dress to act out the story of Christmas.

The generous merchants of Pyrmont have supplied a sleigh-load of lucky dip prizes. And a free sausage sizzle will be available to all - whether you're naughty or nice - courtesy of major event sponsor, Bendigo Bank Pyrmont.

The NSW Business Chamber went mining for gems at this year's Business Awards and made a precious discovery.

Following further consultation with the community, Transport for NSW will close Pyrmont Bay Wharf for five months for a major safety and accessibility upgrade, as part of the NSW Government's $770 million Transport Access Program, an initiative to modernise and integrate transport infrastructure across NSW.

The City of Sydney released its Draft Walking Strategy and Action Plan this month, in a step towards building a policy framework that will transform Sydney into a more walkable city.

In a bid to boost trade and give local business some extra sparkle for the season, the City of Sydney is rolling out the Christmas in the Villages retail promotion on 13 - 14 December.
